since i have been using shock mounts for a few years, i do not seem to have any of the original mic clips that came with my c480s or my at4051s. does anyone know where i can find the standard mic clips for these mics at a reasonable (cheap) price? danke.

probably most any music gear retail store
-
cayman - thanks, but for example, sweetwater has the akg sa-60 (i think thats the one for the 480s) for $19.40 each. i was hoping ot find someplace to get them cheap.

wow, thats high
i know they have them here at a local music related store, kinda like guitar center, only smaller, with everything from mics > instruments
probebly a couple bucks a piece there

what do you think of your 4051a's, not many people use them for live taping, just like to know what others think about them, and you should be able to get the AT mic clips from any AT dealer

I'll sell you my 480 clips if you want 'em, since they're just gathering dust and the a53m's are just as low-pro. Make me an offer if you're interested.

i think the 4051s are really nice mics, especially for the price. they are a nice complement to my other mics (cmc64s, c480s, dpa 4061s), very clean and open sound, and rather similar in sound to dpa 4011s to my ear. i have been using them lately on a piano/flute duo to mic a 7'4" bosendorfer - very sweet. they make a great ORTF pair for live work, and are wonderful on several things in the studio. they are significantly better than the at4041s, btw.
