Wow!  I have a SSD as my boot drive and bought an internal 3TB HD this past year for my ever expanding storage needs.  Depending on how fast these new SSD's come to market and how competitive their pricing, there's a possibility that could have been my last hard drive purchase.  Of course it will take time to play out, but this sounds like the inevitable tipping point.
