Where does this flickering/cracking sound in the recording come from?
Was the recorder overloaded? Brickwalling? Mics? Can this be cured?
I use wavelab for mastering.

I don't have this effect on passages that are even louder than this one.

DPA-4021 > MixPre-D > Nagra SD


And how can i make sure this does not happen again?
