dat2wav logging?

hey, anyone out there with a DDS drive also using dat2wav?

i'm trying to figure out an easy way to log read errors in sessions.  doing something like

"dat2wav -blah -blah >> output.txt" doesn't really cut it because the text ticker would write A-TIME values constantly to the textfile.

anyone?
