Title: 9V 1350mAh LiFePO4: enough for UA-5?
Post by: sunjan on June 03, 2009, 05:02:42 AM
Hi all,

I love my Wally world battery to my UA-5 for open taping, but I've been looking for smaller battery packs when going low-pro.

I found this LiFePO4 pack that looks interesting:

Does anyone know how much runtime 1350mAh translates to? If it's good enough for 3-4 hours, I'd jump on it, to save my back from the weight.

Still a bit expensive, but it's a new technology, I expect the prices to drop within a year. Maybe a third party manufacturer could pick it up and bundle it with a plastic enclosure, voltage tester and charger?!  ;D

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, a good old Bri-post!
Although the link he mentions is broken.

So given Brian's form, this tiny sucker would only provide 2.4 hours of runtime with a UA-5. Hmmm  ???
And the other battery that I posted recently (1700mAh) is good for 3 hours. Workable, but not worth the risk running out of juice.

Back to the drawing board...
