Title: Edirol R09 vs Zoom H2
Post by: dorigatti on July 13, 2007, 07:07:13 PM
Hi everybody,

Just joined. Spent the last week reading the amazing info and practical advice on the site. Thank you all! This is my first post and I have more or less decided to get an Edirol R09 with some Church mics. However, the Zoom H2 is now available at $100 less than the Edirol. Has one mic more (ha ha!) Do any of you have some advice or opinion to share with me? I'm in no hurry and can wait a few weeks before deciding. I live on a small pension so cost is a consideration for me. I won't be recording loud concerts or anything like that. Just small bhajan (devotional) music groups during my travels to India, plus at home mostly one vocalist with acoustic guitar and a soft drum and/or cymbals.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I don't think the H2 is out yet. You can order it but it isn't available yet. A few stores say it will be available in August.

I would maybe stay away from the first edition of any product, wait till they work out the bugs.  Look what happened to the titanic
