you can use the D100 remote with a M1....a buddy has borrowed mine to use with his M1 and it has worked great....American Digital used to sell the remote stand alone...not sure they do anymore...every now and then one shows up on ebay though....

Partsolver has the remote listed, but it aint cheap.

hey i just found out the other day that d100/m1 remote's casing can be taking apart so you can access buttons so when you push them your remote will display any errors that occur during the recording, specifically dropouts and if they were interpolated.  check it out if you haven't yet. an excellent indicator if your deck is beginning to go bad.

any kind of description about these buttons, i love to use my remote, but dont want to fuck anything up

supposedly the top face of the remote can come off and underneath the display are where the buttons are. I haven't actually seen it but i was told by somebody who has one just the other day that they are there.

can anybody else here confirm this? if so i might want to get one. although that $123 price tag from the link above doesn't seem to enticing at the moment.

Just cracked mine open here at work.  Pic attached.  Everything I can see looks like it relates directly to the buttons on the external casing.

interesting.  maybe my teacher is wrong. i'd like to not think so as he said he has used it.  Brian, thanks for posting the pic +t. I'll print it out and show it to my teacher on tuesday and get back to everybody.
