Tin Audio T2 or T2 Pro IEMs
« on: July 30, 2019, 10:27:58 PM »
If you're in the market for a low cost great sounding pair of in-ears, you won't be disappointed with these.  The T2 are $50 and the pro are another ten bucks.  I bought the pros and can confirm that they do have a strong presence character (not sibilant, however).  In spite of the presence boost, they have an absolutely wonderful full low end character I've never heard for less than $100.  I personally enjoy the high end flavor as it tends to do a better job of putting me 'back in the room' when re-experiencing my live recording.  That said, a pair of Comply tips can help tame the high end a bit.  Otherwise, in reviews people generally seem to enjoy the T2 more than the Pro's as they apparently have a better overall balance.  Nevertheless, I'm blown away at the sound quality of the Pro's for $60...and they come with a pretty damn nice flexi-cable and metal housings taboot!  Highly recommended.

EDIT TO ADD:  I own a pair of Sennheiser HD700 and Monoprice m1060c planar magnetic headphones.  I used to have a pair of $1100 Campfire Audio Andromeda IEMs.  I'm not sure that these Tin Audio sound as good as the Anrdromeda's because I don't have them anymore to compare to, but can say that they have a general sound quality that is almost as good as the HD700 and I think exceeds the Monoprice planars.  That said, the soundstage of the HD700 can't be beat, but the point is that for a $50/$60 price point, these Tin Audio IEMs are amazing.
