Title: SOP for streaming to Ustream: updated w/ pdf and some troubleshooting
Post by: vegeta_ban on March 02, 2016, 12:23:24 AM
I was recently asked to teach someone how to stream shows live. I took the opportunity to create an standard operating procedure for the process. and included below. Obviously check with the bands if streaming is allowed.

Edit: I've attached the PDF and added some troubleshooting for buffering issues.

Thanks for this. I'm going to try a couple of live streams this summer.

No problem, I have been meaning to write it for a while to give my dad when I can't go to shows due to work but have been putting it off. FMLE really works well and has more tweaking than the browser streamer. The big bottleneck is having a connection, I use an unlimited plan iPhone, if I have access to an Ethernet cable it tends to do better.

I have also found that getting a cell phone mount for the mic stand and having it above head height gets better signal.
