It is 2GB not 2 hours. 2 hours happens to be 2GB for 24/48.

Ah, that's right. And there's no other file split choice than 2gb, right?

I can't find any setting for it. Why do you want to change it?

Seems like a post-processing question. The M10 will produce seamless file splits (as does virtually evry recorder), you just need to join them in post.

In Audacity: after you import the files simply click on the 'time shift tool' in the tool bar.  It's the double sided arrow pointing left and right (looks like the 'horizontal rule' button shown above when typing a response here on TS, under the 'change color' drop down menu).  Or, when first in audacity you can just press the 'a' key twice on your keyboard to get there.

Then simply click and drag the second file to the end of the first.  They should snap together.

On my edition (2.0.2 for mac, I believe the most recent), a black line will still separate the files.

So, switch back to the 'selection tool' (the 'I' button in the same little group as the 'time shift tool' you're currently using, looks like the blinking line indicator from microsoft word.  Or by pressing the 'd' key twice on your keyboard.) and simply click on the line separating the files.  It should disappear and the files will now be one.

You could also use AddAWav, the fastest tool for this job.

It's no longer available online, but was graciously supplied to me by another member here (sorry I can't remember who).  See attached ZIP.

addawav is the easiest for me -- track out the show as normal and then use addawav to join together the track/song affected by the auto split  (you can also use foobar2000 to join files)

This is gonna sound stupid, but how do I import a second file into the same audacity screen?

drag & drop works too, as well as copy/paste from another session...

Thanks...I was hitting open for the second file instead of importing. Then drag and drop and get rid of the black line. I think my computer literacy has jumped to that of a four year old.  which is a vast improvement.
