Pioneer PL-07e
1964 idler drive turntable
This is a rare version of this deck, with the cast aluminum top plate. Most are with a thin stamped steel top plate.

The deck arrived essentially, D.O.A.
The motor would start, and then after about 20sec it would die. It would start again, and then die in half time, and so on, until about the fourth try, it wouldn't start.
So, I found that the motor drive capacitor was burned out, and, realized it to be Unobtanium.
So, I traced the internal capcitors, and rebuilt myself a drive capacitor, and, the deck came roraing back to glorious life. This is an amazing deck! Sarge has claimed it as hers, because she likes white appliances.
At any rate, this is the motor, a monster drive, with oil lube tubes, and its newly refurb'd cap (orange-red caps on the black acrylic chip).
