Thank you all for your replies.
I did try most of the recommended solutions with no luck. From what I understand the recording was "broken" after 11 minutes. There is a huge 2gb file but after the 11th minute is somehow unavailable-deleted. Anyways... Colin Stetson recording lost. :(

Chilly Brioschi:
There are header editing tools for files that could help.
I believe what is missing is the RIFF header.
ZODAK comes to mind, not especially user-friendly

As he can't seem to copy the file from the device, it seems that the file is corrupt on file system level. So it's unfortunately not simply a valid 2GB file containing a corrupt RIFF header and sample data.
I'd still be curious if it would be possible to create a raw disk image from it, so ignoring whatever valid or corrupt file system is on top of it. I've had success recovering almost all of a recording in that way.
@meursault: If you'd be willing to try to go that way, just let me know and I'll see if I can help you with that process.

nulldogmas:
One of my A10s went dead, and now after I've charged it, the backlight won't come on even if I set it to "Always ON." Any ideas?

dyneq:
You could try a factory reset.
