I've had decent results with the original MV88. One thing I wished for was a way to put some separation between the phone and the mic as the phone/MV88 assembly is a bit too fixed/unwieldy for my taste. As far as I know there were/are no "pass through" lightning-to-lightning cables that work. Recently picked up the MV88+ and that problem is now solved with the included 12" micro USB to lightning cable. The body is larger and heavier (solid metal) but I can deal with that.
