Title: Any reviews of the Zoom H2
Post by: mikeytwice on May 24, 2007, 05:52:01 PM
Is the Zoom H2 out, and if so, has anyone gotten the chance to check it out?  I'm seriously intrigued as I like the H4 but would like something even more compact to travel with this summer, being that I have no need for 1/4" or XLR inputs. I wonder if the internal mic quality will compare to that of the H4...

Nope, not yet available.  Look for it sometime this summer.

Noooooo - "H2 is now delayed till August 2007"

I got a H4 the other day... works amazingly well. I'm a bit worried by the analysis posted elsewhere that recording-level settings below 100 don't prevent input stage clipping, but can't hear anything bad in the signal I got last Friday (~105db rock show, recording level 40 since I was guessing), although maybe it's hidden by the effects on the vocals.
