Audacity Help
(1/1)

Just recorder first show. Show was pretty bass heavy and lots of crown noise.
I only have Audacity for right now and honestly don’t know where to begin with the basic editing. Any how to's would be great on making basic adjustments. If someone could do a screen capture that would be amazing.
Thanks so much for taking the time out to help me out.

Can you share a sample of the recording? That would make it easier to tell what's needed and what's doable in Audacity.
morst:
I'd say for "version one" of your first recording, track out the individual songs, and play it back as-is on different systems, in order to really hear what you got.
If you already want to change the sound of it, perhaps the recording technique can be adjusted to get better results in the future, since that would seem to be a good goal, to make better and better sounding "tapes."
As you learn the tools, you'll get more comfortable making adjustments to the audio, but for now, I'd revel in your success.
Please tell us more about the circumstances, and share a sound sample with us!
Congrats and welcome!
