I am new to taping and have started small with Sony NH700 small pre-amp high pass filter and am thinking about getting an AT-822 mic will they all work together?

The AT822 is powered by a self-contained batteries and should work with about anything. I started with one of these as well and was happy with it. Even new you can generally find these for under $250.
