Hi John,

Yeah, we've had a number of requests for this mod lately. As a result, we're going to put together a program for V3 users that will accommodate a TOSLINK output in place of the WC connector. However, this probably will not be available for 3-4 weeks and costs have not yet been determined. If you're interested in this, please send Jamie Krapohl a note and he'll put you on a waiting list.

How do you figure? Tapping into the digital out to produce a second output (or was it replace the coax with the optical - either way) is trivial compared to getting a unit working with a computer over FW.

Grace told me a little while ago that they have something big around the corner, so we'll see what that means.  
The Firewire idea is something that would allow for easy computer interfacing.  As for how to integrate it into the unit, i guess it's not as easy as was originally expected which is why it was never done.
