Post by: bluntforcetrauma on February 20, 2006, 01:44:08 AM
please help , I am looking for great XLR cables to run wth my DPA 4022's.  Any and all suggeations are well appreciated. Also a (2) female 1/4 to one 1/48 male plug seuggested brand also would help to hook into the ediriol r-1.
What should i be looking for in a cable--as a stealther.

thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, and never mind this is in the wrong forum, but exactly how are you gonna change cable with 4022s? They're permenantly attached.

Lots of XLR cable options - DIY with silver cable or Canare cable, Audiomatic HyperConductors, custom cables from ToddR here at TS.  What's your budget, how long do they need to be, what other gear, precisely, are you running (for reference)?

DPA 4022 > Denecke something-or-other? > Edirol R1?

I may be wrong, but don't the bodies of the dpa, assuming their like the schoeps, fit right into the deneke ps-2?  I always say, the best cables are no cables.  Actually, that was the first time I've ever said that, but from now on- thats what I always say.

I believe the DPA 4021/4022/4023 line of mics is bodyless, as is the case with the Schoeps ccm4/5/6 line, no bodies are used at all cap>cable>preamp
