sorry i gues i was a little vague in my question, i was looking mor the especs on them and how they compare to the standard cardoid caps (i think they are cardoid caps?), not on what a cap is...sorry

agreed...I would love to see schoeps do a LD cap similar to the LD omni you can get for the MBHO's..., but better yet, run it with the m222 t00bs ;D

well, as Brian said, it will offer a little different sound that a standard small diaphragm cardioid cap. LD's generally have a less analytical or detailed sound, a little slower and softer and more musical.
as for the specs, you can probably find those online somewhere

that guy at musicsupply is a clown. first he lists them at 500 with a bin of 520, no sale. then he lists them at 395 with a bin of 405. when i was loking at some 4011's he had them listed at a ridiculously high price, and they weren't selling, and he kept relisting them at the same price. i wrote him explaining that they were available for much cheaper elsewhere. looks like he's pimping stuff a little more affordable and not carring high dollar stuff that ties up his $$ for so long because he was overpriced.
