Behringer BCF2000 vs Frontier Design Alphatrack
« on: November 28, 2008, 03:57:58 PM »
I've been doing more multitrack stuff in my home studio these days, and I am sick of using a mouse, so I started poking around for control surfaces. These are the 2 that are looking likely. Just looking to see if anyone has used either and what their thoughts were- my software is Adobe Audition 3.0. I've been trying to get on the Adobe website all day with no luck, my big question is can the BCF's faders control automation parameters?  Ie if I want a volume swell over time, can I do it with a fader as I listen to the track play & have Audition write that move information into the automation?  I *think* the Alphatrack will do that, not to mention it seems like it would be pretty well laid out for AA 3.0 out of the box. BUT- of course, just one fader.

I'm having trouble finding out if EITHER of them will work w/ Audition 3.0, seems like all the documentation refers to 1.5 or 2.0.
