All it needs is a smaller DC power supply and this could  be made into a portable pre for our needs. I am currently looking into another pre amp design and a power supply design so the power supply might work for this project also if it is tweaked a little.

Yeah - I'm like the only member of "Team AC" - I dont really go to too many big shows - tape mostly in bars and clubs - so I always have AC power...hence the 386 tube pre - when I dont have AC - I'm content with the MX-100...
