M1 error
« on: February 28, 2005, 02:23:08 PM »
i've got a quick question i can't find an answer to: Sometimes while using my M1 recording at 44.1, i'll hit record and the M1 will blink
"F-44 1" before it writes id. it only happens randomly, and when it flashes my recording always comes out fine. what does this mean?

If you hold down the play button, the m1 (or d100 or d7 or d8) will show the sample rate the tape's being played/recorded at. Sounds like you're holding down the play button for a long enough time for the m1 to tell you the sample rate that's being recorded.

maybe...i will hit record and pause together, and then hit play to actually begin recording. i just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with the recorder, b/c i'll probably be putting it up for sale soon. i've had a very short lived DAT taping career...jb3 is the way to go  ;D
