Well, after many years of abuse my crappy Creative powered computer speakers bit the dust. I did some searching on this site for recommendations from others and cruised the pages of my old issues of Stereophile. I read a review of the Audioengine A2 speakers and decided to take the plunge.
Ordered them from Audio Advisor and they arrived 2 days later. They were nicely packaged and even came in their own little cloth bags for traveling with them. I won't be taking them anywhere but the thought was nice. All the needed cables and power supply were included.
They sound pretty darn good for 2 bills, have kevlar woofers, silk tweeters, and look like they might accept banana plugs as well. I'm loving them so far and they haven't even been broken in yet. Anyone have a pair of these or their big brothers, the A5's?

I have the a5 speakers and love them. I use a 12" active sub with them.

Ditto, I have the A5's and like them alot. I just use them by themselves for our living room playback system. Two active speakers mounted on the wall, hooked up to a Squeezebox and with an easy hookup to an ipod -- makes for a very compact playback system. I think it sounds very good for what I use it for, though it isn't my main/criticial listening playback system.
