I have recorded a few shows lately, and I have noticed that in some of them there is a constant static noise on the right channel.
The setup I am using is CA14 Omnis>CA-9100>PCM-M10. I have been using the same setup in all the recent shows I have recorded, all of them were in populated venues where I have been surrounded by people with cell phones.
Initially I thought that was the cause of the static noise but after listening carefully, I have noticed it is persistent only on the right channel.
I have then tried to recreate the problem at home. I have noticed that if I touch the right mic next to the capsule, a loud static noise appears.
Only after touching the right mic in the same manner, the static noise disappeared.
The right mic was also susceptible to mobile phone static when I have made a call next to it.
I was wondering if anyone has ran into this problem before?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me like a cabling/connection issue. I'd send it back to Chris or someone else who can re-cable it.

Thanks. I will contact Chris and send them back. I really love those mics.
