SBM-1 7pin to coax conversion
« on: March 10, 2007, 12:26:12 PM »
does anyone here on the list do this conversion? or perhaps have the proper adaptor for this conversion?
would like to try running the sbm-1 in front of my dap1.

i already have an active oade cable, so really could get by with just a female 7pin to female 7pin....

but really looking to just get a 7pin>coax conversion done..

 thanks!!

If you have an active 7 pin you shouldn't need anything else. Just plug the Oade into the female 7-pin port on the SBM1 and run a regular coax from the Oade's out port into the DAP1.

so, there are two outputs on a sbm-1 ???   one on the cable, and another female 7pin on the actual body of the sbm ??

please forgive my ignorance of the machine, its not in my hands yet, and while ive seen tons of them in use, ive never taken a whole lot of time to check one out, as ive never used one!!

thanks nick for the friendly advice.... if id have known there are two outputs, i coulda solved that one by myself..... doh

Yep, there's a female 7 pin on the bottom - looks just like the female 7-pin port on a DAT deck, only it's an output.
