sony ecm-719 problem
« on: June 08, 2012, 01:38:00 PM »
Ive used this mic for a good few years and its done well.Over the last couple of months or so its been doing some odd.It sounds really tinny, and then sometimes it will almost get a new lease of life( during the same recording) and the full force will kick in,and you can hear the audio that was recorded how it should be.I was just wondering if this could be beacuse of the wire of the mic getting a bit tangled etc and has possibly broken slightly inside.I have used other mics and they seem fine with my edirol.Id be happy to buy another one if this is the problem.

Yes, that is one of the cables malfunctioning. Nothing that 10 minutes of soldering iron can't fix.
