I saw a program mentioned here awhile ago, and even went to the site, that was made just for traking out wav files... I went back and searched thru the pages, but can't seem to locate it... I have WaveLabs and am fudging the tracking with that....
any help would be great, and thanks in advance....

for 16/44 tracking use cdwav

for 16/44 tracking use cdwav
It also does 24 bit, any sample rate, plus you can use it to record!
The newest stable version also will write your tracks direct to flac... :)

Why "fudging"? Wavelab is very good for tracking.

What is the latest "stable" version....sounds like a great feature. I hardly ever even cut the tracks...just make the .cue sheet and shn/flac up the big wave (obviously I don't share much!). To get seperate tracks for distributing...I have to make a CD, then EAC it...be great to just dump 'em to flac and be ready to send.

1.92 is the latest stable, available from the author's website @ http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~mjmlooijmans/cdwave/
Don't get the copy at etree.org/software.... its horribly out of date.

Thanks for the tip!

I have a link to 1.93 somewhere. Supports drag/drop of cue sheets.

Grr ... none of the post 1.9b CDWave releases works with my Prodif Plus. The author must have changed something with the sound implementation in newer versions. Anyone with a Prodif Plus getting playback to work in CD Wave? (specifically 24-bit playback)

You want to write alternate 24-bit file format
Here's why http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~mjmlooijmans/cdwave/faq.html#24bit (http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~mjmlooijmans/cdwave/faq.html#24bit)

It's not that ... I open up an unsplit WAV and I can't push play without getting an error message. I can split and save just fine and play it back elsewhere, but I cannot play via CD Wave. I've stuck with 1.9b, which doesn't have the save to FLAC function, but works as I need it to.

In 1.92 you can go to File > Preferences and pick the Output Device (default for me is Microsoft Sound Mapper which works fine with my DiO 2496). Have you tried messing with that?

I'll try a few of the emulation settings and see if that does anything for me. Somehow I think I've tried this already, but doesn't hurt to be certain.
