Recorder picking up way to much bass
« on: July 07, 2013, 02:03:51 PM »
I have a tascam dr 05 recorder thats been working  great for  months and all the sudden the recordings are all boomy and sound awful  with very little mids and highs.  I changed mics, cables, and preamps and tried recording with the internal mics and it just sounds awful.  I spoke with amazon where i bought it and  they are sending a new one.  But has anyone ever encountered ab issue like the?  Its very odd.

Thanks

Perhaps the 3.5mm input went South and is not switching from the internal mics to your externals. Just a guess though...
