Is it possible to do more with plug-in power with something like an in-line voltage doubler cable that could provide 5-6 volts for microphones like countryman or dpa lavs that need more than 3v?
Along the same thinking can plug-in power be used to directly power a very low power op amp like opa2836 (2.5v min.) for something like a battery-less in line preamp?
