Reason I mention them is they have a simple, taper friendly 12V DC powering option.

In the taper scene - Laptop taping came and went - but since we have these small, powerful tablets...we can revisit that model.
Berhinger has pretty good Linux support...so these should be workable with a Android tablet...or Ipad. I think it uses the same driver as their X32 mix console/interface.
Its a lot of channels - for a little money....even though its a rackmount - its probably light - and shallow...and not really that big...
And the MIDAS pres do sound good!
Add a tablet that you might already own...kickass rig!
