Title: Schoeps CCM Lg cables + XLR cable = longer cable?
Post by: su6oxone on January 23, 2010, 10:39:57 PM
My CCM4s have a 15' cable with a lemo end for the capsule on one end and an XLR-male on the other.  In order to get a longer cable, can I simply connect the XLR-male end to the XLR-female of a XLR cable?  Another way to put my question is whether or not you can simply connect XLR cables to get a longer cable.  Thanks in advance.

I often run either a pair of CCM4 Lg's in ORTF or one CCM4 and CCM8 in M/S for orchestral recording. I run extra XLR cables to extend the length (often to 40 metres) without any issues
