L-connection optical cable info - found
« on: December 18, 2006, 11:53:16 AM »
I get so used to seeing the "stickies" at the top of the page that I forget to look at them when I DO need them.   Duh... Got my answers - thanks Moke!

I've googled but not seen anything.  Is there such a thing? It would make it much easier to set my gear in my stealth bag if the connector was L-shaped and thus sat FLAT instead of sticking out!

This would be 1/8" mini to the sort of rounded one (I think that's a TOS link? Sorry - just getting up to speed on optical so scuse dimness as I learn...)

Yup.

Above post includes sources for right-angle adapters and also just updated it to include an alternate source for the Sound Pro's integrated right-angle toslink / mini cable (IMO, this is the best option out there as long as one's reasonably careful with gear).

Edit:  just saw your post update - glad you found what you need!

Thanks (at least I smacked my own wrist before somebody told me to search a little more carefully.... My only excuse is that i've just done 4 performances of Messiah in 3 days (6 perfs if you include the rehearsal runthroughs) and am more than a little tired!  Got some great tapes out of it though... ;))

It's good you've highlighted the alternative source since SP no longer seems to do the one mentioned in the archive.

Tx!!
