How heavy is the savior compared to a superclamp?

They are almost identical at just over 1 lb each. The more important figure is load handling, and the Savior is rated for double that of the SuperClamp - 66 lbs vs. 33 lbs.

Love all this 9.solutions chatter...They are a solid clamp. BTW the mini version is just as solid if you need to clamp onto another tapers stand. Also been great to use in conjunction with a phone holder to video if needed.

I want to add another interesting bit of info for you traveling tapers with the 9.Solutions clamps. There is a studded and unstudded version, I have both, when I travel I was flagged by TSA with the studded clamp as it is just a bit longer than thier 7" protocol, but they let me slips that time so I could still carry it on the airplane. Now I use the socket style with spigot inside my carry on. I also carry the Manfrotto 099B ext on board. Carry On with all the gear and clothing + Laptop + stand and ext on board. If you dont have equpitment insurance and fly, NEVER check your gear. Airlines are NOT responsible for theft loss etc.

I just got this Matthellini 6" End Jaw clamp, after seeing several pictures of them in the FB tapers groups. I couldn't find one over here, but B&H shipped me one from the States (with the additional expense that entails, of course). I am really glad I ordered it, though; it is awesome! It can securely clamp rails/beams that a SuperClamp or similar would have no chance with.

When it showed up, I was surprised, in a good way, to see that it was anodized or coated black. The photos I had seen were all in silver.

I bought mine from CVP in the UK. There's another vendor in the UK as well (https://proav.co.uk) and I think another one in Switzerland.

The most useful add-on is the Extendellini adapter for center jaw clamps. I've used it several times to clamp my mic array and cameras to pillars or trusses (respectively to the stage lip itself).

^ I didn't stumble upon either of those in my search, but both would have been more expensive than B&H, with the exchange rate, shipping, and VAT. Things from the UK got pretty pricey post-Brexit...

If you have a WindTech clamp and are missing the protective rubber cap I found a cheap, easy fix. 1/4" automotive vacuum cap.

Very snug fit and doesn't pop off easily, unlike the stock cap. A tad long so I trimmed off about 1/2" with a pair of scissors

Also guilty. Valve stem caps from an automobile work in a pinch as well.

I was in a show and realized the cap was missing.

I convinced the staff to let me out/in, and grabbed one off my car. Recordd, and put it back before driving home.

This isn’t exactly clamping centric, but does anyone know of a riser with male and female 3/8” connections? I’m looking to use a K&M mic bar running parallel to the stage and run a set up front and one in the back, if that makes sense. I’d like to have that back set about 6” higher than the front set. Maybe SRS could 3D print it?

Hmm, not sure I understand the final arrangement, but in terms of having a riser with 3/8" male and female on the ends, you can easily make one from combinations of these components:

risers, of various lengths (and combinable):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CZ164JZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s03?ie=UTF8&th=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MDX6MYM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

adapters to convert 1/4" or 5/8" threads of above risers to 3/8"
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MDX6MYM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (for use on the male 1/4" thread on the first riser set shown above)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZVNK3JZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

note that you can even use the adapters in the bottom link to make very short (less than 1") risers
mics:  AKG c480b (x6) + ck61, ck62, & ck63
pre:  2 x Oade m148
recorder:  Zoom F8n Pro; Tascam HD-P2 (with Oade High Definition mod)

A spigot with 3/8 and a rapid adapter plus Camvate ball head might end up being the right height and it would be adjustable

Anyone have a heavy duty ball head or adjustable arm that they recommend? This would be for clamping and attaching something like the Manfrotto extension pole when the clamp is at a weird angle and thus the pole does not stand straight up.  I did find this ball head that holds 33lbs that looks like it would do the trick. Would want something that holds that kind of weight with the pole and multiple sets of mics on it:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1467078-REG/kupo_kg401512_super_grip_ball_head.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&smpm=ba_f2_lar&lsft=BI%3A514&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwP6sBhDAARIsAPfK_wbc7HtX-fBvRXr_X5JDEP_Zu8KyUtqTePIeCgJF-XjqOwiKOTE4EIkaAjiQEALw_wcB

I just picked up the 9 Solution clamp that folks have been talking about, seems like a beast. I think I'll be leaving my SuperClamp at home in favor of this one.
