Bit True Capability
« on: December 22, 2004, 09:49:06 PM »
Just got an Archos Gmini220 to go with my JB3 and I would like to test it out to see if its a bit true rig. Is there an relatively easy way I can test this and if so what is it? Thanks in advance for your answers...

...do you record digitally to the gmini?  cuz if you don't, you can't really test the bit accuracy.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

do a search for the gmini 120 on this board.  it's a very long thread, in which I tested the gmini 120 for bit-accuracy.  that thread should give you some ideas about how to test it (assuming the 220 has a digital input)...

yeah, i read that thread and i made what turned out to be the wrong assumption that because it has the same spdif plug that it would take the digi in. I was wrong....it will make a nice stealth machine though if it turns out to work good...
