want a digital for family photos, easy to use, best quality for around $300. I know the budget isn't that big, but it is what it is

due to high responses, maybe I should clarify

We have a canon PS a95, my wife does not like the amount of time it takes from click to picture take, is there a way to reduce this time on the canon, or is there a camera that has a shorter time? Many of her pictures are of our kids and dogs and other family, getting a 3 yo to hold that pose for a few extra seconds is difficult to say the least. That is where we need improvement. I understand quality may not be as good, but what about the sony someone mentioned in a thread just recently?

Here are a couple of great sites for reviews:

The Fuji Finepix F30 has received positive reviews and it's under your limit of $300

go with the F30, great little camera, fast picture taker, and works well in lowlight situations when you tweak the manual settings a little.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.
