Topic: Inside of my cable (red, blue and 2 black wires)

A simple question:

Hi I cut my cable to see what it looks like inside..

This is the cable I cut into 2....

When I cut it I see 1 red, 1 blue and 2 black smaller wires.

Can someone tell me where these wires are connected to in the connector.

I would think the red will be connected to the ring, blue to the tip and the 2 black to the sleeve. Am I correct to conclude this or I have to do tests to find out? What sort of test can I do to find out where each of the wires are connected. I cannot see any connection when I open the connector because it is all sealed up and covered by a plastic thing when I un-srew the connector.

You can use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of each wire to its corresponding connector.....so you can tell what goes where..

I've got a multimeter that will test for continuity.  when I return the 722 to you, I'll bring it and we can test it out to see how it's wired up.
