-
good point

does it actually output a 24 bit digital signal? or does it truncate/dither?
-
im gonna guess its dithers it down
-
and its 44.1 or 48 only even if it outputs at 24. why no 24/96 ???

looks like, they didnt bother to change anyi info on the website but touching up the photo making it say dmic-24. the brochure lstill pulls up dmic-20. im trying to find out from them more info and if its possible to upgrade a dmic-20 to a 24 easily
-
Yeah DAC-24 only samples to 50Hz, but hell 24/48 ain't shabby.
Didn't check the A/D........
24 bit to JB3 would have to be truncation, no ?
What would do the dither ? the GP ?

GP started out as a company doing stuff for the film industry. In most cases this still means 48K (or slight variations of 48K). They are just now dipping their toes into 96KHz and even then only certain production crews are allowed to do 96K. Heck, for as much as they blow their horn about 5.1 surround sound, a lot of crews are still only doing mono mixes (mostly docs and TV).
That would be my guess as to why they are still only doing 48K.
