I'd spitball $1500, not lower than $1200. Could be higher.

As an owner of this kit since y2k, I concur. If all the parts are there, it's pretty cool. I have lost two or three ORTF mounts, and at least one XY. They are expensive.

I would say $1500

in any case thats an amazing value for what it does... and if you can find a complementary pair of ak43 or ak50 both of those sound phenomenal

the 50s are more common than the 43s.
pretty rare to see used ones of either, not as common to pass caps around like doobies like we do on the dark side. most people get attached to them

the set is listed in yard sale $1650 OBO

A german seller sold 3 sets recently.
SKM140 for 1000 euro (with actives, like new condition)
SKM140 for less 1000 euro (with actives, like new condition) besf offer accepted
SKM150 for less 1200 euro (no actives), best offer accepted
All of them looked like new. I was very temped, but had 0 feedback and wanted prepaymen via bank transfer. It is a red flag from me, but all 3 transactions went fine according ebay rating.

Good deals, and bank transfer is a much more common transaction method amongst individuals in EU. Totally allowed. We're just not used to it here. I had a group trip to Scotland cancel, and the tour operator refunded everyone via bank transfer from the comfort of his kitchen. I definitely can't do that without going to a bank branch and struggling to find someone who knows how to do it.

I made some payments with bank transfer too with German sellers. I had no bad experience sofar.
One more thing that kept me away from these that I asked the seller some basic info like age of the sets, is he the original owners.
Unfortunatelly I haven't got any reply so I said I will not take any risk.
All in all I think these were sold well under the market value (imho).

While bank transfers are relatively common among private people in the EU, as it is easy and supported by most banks with a web interface, it is also important to keep in mind that it is irreversible. Due diligence is paramount as bank transfer are final and will not be reversed by the bank.
-
^ They can definitely be reversed by the bank in the case of a wrong amount or account number. I would use PayPal for the buyer protections, though, if purchasing anything of any value.

No, not after the transfer is committed, unless the recipient approves.
-
^ Maybe it depends on the bank. I can request the bank's action in one of these circumstances online or via phone...

Only if the amount technically hasn’t reached the recipient. A bank cannot pull money from an account in another bank. Anyone unsure of their rights in this regard, should consult their bank prior to the transaction. A Google search on ‘Reverse Bank Transfer’ will answer most questions.

^ Thanks; that's good to know! Well, at the least, the bank can help facilitate all of the particulars if a refund is necessary. I have only needed to do this twice, and, in each case, I noted the circumstances to my bank on a short form and they took care of everything. In both cases, I had my money returned within a day. It probably helps to have the weight of a huge (multi)national corporation pushing the paper...
In any event, as I mentioned previously, the buyer protections offered by PayPal (G & S) are useful, even if it costs a little extra.
