Recorder PIP > extension cable > mics?
« on: June 08, 2011, 11:31:30 PM »
I have a Sony M10 and some mics that are PIP-powered. If I wanted to run the mics on a stand in open taping situations, could I put an 1/8" extension cable between the recorder and the mics? Thinking about a 10' extension, less than 15' total cable between mics and deck.

You can do this since PIP doesn't care if you're using an extension or not.
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
