Title: Using rechargeable batteries in my DR40
Post by: oldjoe38 on May 20, 2012, 02:43:56 PM
I am thinking about getting a set of rechargeable sony cycle energies AA's for my dr40. They are 2000mah. About how long will they last?

Using phantom power or not? I usually record for about 3 hours and it doesn't even knock off one bar with the eneloops I use. My mics are powered by my littlebox.  If you are using phantom power on the deck, I wouldn't expect a set of rechargeables to last much more than 2 hours, if that.

I don't know if it helps but I use to use Varta Alkalines and they last up to 5 hours WITH Phantom... I bought rechargables batteries and I just tried them once. I recorded more than 2 hours WITH phantom with 2 battery stripes.
