Torrent Question
« on: August 04, 2005, 02:03:49 PM »
Can you seed on two different sites with one set of files?  Have one show in one directory but set up a seed for bt.etree and another seed somewhere else using the same files?  I would think there would be some sort of conflict.  Do I need to make a copy of the show in another directory for a different seed?

should work fine just create a different torrent for each site w/ the different tracker info.

So, If your seeding two different places at the same time from one set of files, how does one tracker know what the other is doing?  Can two people be downloading the same piece at the same time?

the trackers are completely separate, they have no communication @ all.  All the bt clients are doing is reading the files off your HD and uploading the requested parts.  you will be doubling the amount of uploading that is required.
