Mix Pre VS Pre's on Busman Modded 660/modded 661
« on: June 22, 2009, 12:23:51 AM »
Curious if anybody has run these in tandom/comparison.  I Love My Busman 660, sounds great to my ears.  Just pulled a very nasty AA Bondy tape last week.  I'm all about the all in one's.  But if i could just have a smaler rig, an R09HR, and a mixpre when i needed it.  Is it really worth switching the gear around, esp since i'd be spending more money.  I can run my Busman Naks into a 9100, and with phantom adaptors to the 660.  Versatile, i like that.  But maybe with a small nice pre i could do the same thing without the need of an extra recorder.

thoughts?
