One last question (I hope) can I run two mini plugs off of one battery to run my ad20 at the same time? Or will that cut the votage in half?

Yeah, you can do it.  Just make sure you wire the plugs to the battery in parallel (not serial).

I can use these items, correct?

battery

Now connect the positive to the tip,correct?
Plug and unplug mini before pluggining and unpluging battery to it, yes?

Nice. Has anyone used something like a Makita 9.6v battery for this kind of application? I ask because I already have a good charger for those for use with my Drill. Looks like the charger that comes with the RC battery is a "dumb" charger and I'd be afraid I'd kill my battery by forgetting to unplug it after the right amount of time.
Seems like the hard part would be making something to slip on the end of that drill battery to make a good contact.
Thoughts?
