Topic: CD burning

Have noticed that when burning WAV files to disc that these files are converted to
CDA audio files? Have tried 3 different types of burning programs (Rioxio,NTI & BurnIT) and they all
seem to have the same results.

I like to write show info using the CD text writing feature before burning a disc. When I went back to look at a disc I just burned, my wav files were gone, my text info
was not showing and all of my CD tracks only showed a 1 K file size.

Is this normal?

"CD Audio (.cda) tracks are audio files that can be stored on CD media. The .cda files are representations of CD audio tracks and do not contain the actual pulse code modulation (PCM) information.  This is format used for encoding music on all commercial compact discs. If you buy a CD from a store, the music on that CD is stored in CDA format."

When you use a program like EAC, it rips the files back to .WAV format.

As far as the rest of your question - is this normal?  Obviously not.
