We actually had three (Ned S. ran MK4 > V3 > 722, I think). Had there been a setbreak, I'd have jumped over to his rig. His mics were right under Michael's.

Bump for the weekday crowd. My power must have flickered while I was gone since I'm not seeding anymore. Can someone open up a window until I get home and can hop back on?

I'm still seeding this..   I haven't had a chance to listen yet because I need to resamp and dither..

IMO, if you resample and dither, you are going to blow the comparison.  You will still hear a difference, but you will have affected the fundamental characteristic of the devices' sound and the test is no longer strictly valid.

I suppose that we could do a 16-bit comp if enough people care.  In mean time, if you want to hear the comparison as it was intended, I'll B&P DVDs for anyone who wants them.

I'd love to hear your recording from that night.  I don't know what it takes to add new material into a torrent.

I don't think that the 48k vs 96k will make a vast difference, ymmv.  Some claim they can hear it.

Ned, I'll have to get back in touch after I move. My place is a mess right now. For everyone else, I'm back seeding. It should be going until at least the end of the week.

I'll be in IL 9/7 if all goes as planned. I'm leaving DC after Labor Day, staying with a friend in Cleveland overnight, then should make it up there the following evening.

It doesn't look like anyone's tried to grab this in the last day or so. I'll consider it dead. I'm amazed at how even the voting turned out. I voted for the first option just to see the results, so subtract that. I guess at this level of gear, personal preference is really what matters. I'm interested in hearing comments from those who listened. If someone wants to give these files a more permanent home, that's cool with me. Read the key below and discuss. :)

*spoiler space in case you haven't listened to it yet*

A is the V3 ADC
B is the 722 ADC

Matt, I cannot see the results.  I did not vote, which may be the reason.  Can you post the result summary?
