i know ya'll prolly dont give a shit, but i like how the v3 soundz outside w/ the 480's, especially compared to the dmic 8)some of my fav tapes are 481>v3

Of course we care, Bean.  Glad to hear you dig the combo.  Get those recordings out to people so we can get more feedback from others - I'm kinda surprised given how many people don't like the AKG 48x > V2 combo.

And Moke, backatya:

Set of ADK TL's: $625
Set of Schoeps:  $2200
V3: $1300
Making kick ass tapes low-pro FOB instead of getting booted back to the rear-most corner of the room, under the balcony, next to the huge beer bottle bin, behind the cement load-bearing support columns, just in front of the stanky bathrooms, and in the middle of a crowd of blathering inebriated boneheads: Priceless

I used it again tonight at Built To Spill and I love this thing! You may have to pry it from my dead cold fingers for me to give it up. I was going to maybe sell it down the road so that I could fund me a new SD 722 recorder when they came out but I may be using DAT for a while longer til they make a no frills HD box.

I've been using mine for 2 weeks now and HOLY shit!!!

I've never made tapes this clean and real sounding. I am really enjoying every aspect of the v3. easy to use, built like a tank, nice controls, and hella sound.

I've been usoing with an akg c422 and lemme say it ROCKS.

This mic is pretty heavy in the bottom and full of detail, and the v3 tightens up the bass perfectly, a little tooo much detail sometimes, but you gotta find the right SPOT.

I've heard lots of combos with this mic and the v3 IS my favorite...I could tell from the first tape ;D
