Earlier this week I reached out to Simon Davies and John House again because I still wasn't seeing the Field Edition mounts for sale. Long story short: they are still working on getting stock to the resellers, and Radius wants to give those shops first crack at sales before putting this product up at the official Radius web stores. But right away, they offered the following:

Quote
I spoke with our distributor and he can send you an unlisted link to purchase these on the Radius USA store tomorrow or Wednesday. The initial stock shipment to the USA is still inbound and will need to clear customs and be unloaded, etc, etc. But what we can do is ship your order via UPS direct from the UK so you don’t have to wait.

The single mount will be $70 and a pair will be $125 plus applicable state tax. Each come with 4 pairs of suspension hoops in different firmness (extra soft, soft, standard, extra firm) and 3 pairs of mic clips for different mic diameters (19-21mm, 12.5-14.5mm and 8mm clips). So these will fit pretty much any of the small condenser mics you have or might buy in the future.

I jumped on that offer right away, and I have a pair of these mounts arriving next week. Direct from Exeter to my doorstep in the US, shipping was $20. Even though I don't have any use for the smaller sets of mic clips right now, the inclusion 4 pairs of hoops with each mount make this a great value, especially considering that a pair of hoops costs $20 when purchased separately.

John confirmed that the Field Edition mounting base will be available as a separate part in the future, probably around $35 US but he couldn't speak to a timeline. In the meantime, I can always use the other hoops on my Rycote bases, or purchase more of these from Scott Shepherd at SRS Recording:

One thing to note is that the product name is 'RAD-2 Field Edition', as they come with the RAD-2 hoops which have the additional bracing flanking the top and bottom screws.

My package arrived last week, and today I got to do some testing. Write-up and test recordings are here:
