Can the Deity PR2 power a DPA 4060 Omni Mini?

Hi there,

Just looking for some advice - considering buying a Deity PR2 and DPA 4060 omni mini. The DPA website says "For wireless systems Min. 5 V - max. 10 V through DPA adapter." Not sure what this means, but the Deity does provide 5v power, so I think it should work? But I don't wanna dropp £££ on a setup without some assurance it works!

Additionally, you can get the DPA mics in minijack connectors - anyone know if these will plug into the Deity's 3.5mm outputs, or will I need an adaptor? If I need an adaptor I might as well get the microdot connection as it'll be compatible if I upgrade to the DPA d-vice (which would be my first choice but is double the cost of the Deity).

I have terminated my DPA 4060 and 4061 mics into 3.5mm jacks and use them with the 5v PIP of my Tascam FR-AV2. The 5v PIP of the Deity should work okay.

100% yes, you can power dpa microdot microphones with the PR2.  Even the 40xxGR and xxGS cables.

Carson:
Thanks! I presume you use Microdot - 3.5mm adaptors? I’m guessing they don’t add much extra size/make it harder to stealth? Never used any DPA mics so I’m unfamiliar with the connectors.

Yes there are threaded 1/8” to 2 microdot adapters on eBay, or you can commission someone to make one from dpa microdot extension cables
