sweet! im in line for 4022s and i cant even afford em yet :)

mk5s are definitely nicer than the mk4s...it must be that HF boost.

I think its that AKGs have a funny mid-freq, not the bottom end or the low end.

marc..get a pair of c460b's have them modded by jim williams, and then get a pair of ck62's and have them rebeuilt by tony merrill. ;D ;D ;D

I definitely dig the CK62 omni caps, one of my favorite tapes is WSP 7-14-99 CK62/C480>V2>ADC20, such a sweet sounding low end on this tape.  Full and true, great feel to this recording.



one of my very favorite tapes, for sure.
