Taped a little acoustic outdoor show this weekend, and realized why it's important to run windscreens in even the lightest of breezes. :(
So now I'm looking for help on high-pass or notch filters in either one of the programs I have (SoundEdit 16, Sound Studio, Spark ME) or another program with a permissive demo period. Any suggestions?
Oh, and I'm also looking for windscreens if anyone has a pair they're looking to part with...

you're fawked...
no way possible to get wind out of your recording. enjoy the recording the way it is, cause that's it... you can play around in Post, but the problem is:
the wind permeates ALL freq's.
i have a few of these myself... some where i was the ONLY Taper. had a friend take a MN Zoo/ Tragically Hip recording out to LA into the finest Studios known to man a coupla years ago. no go.
I won't release these as they suck. i know it's not what you wanted to hear, but them's the facts bro...
problem with recording Live is there ain't no 'do overs'... ;)

Well, as they say in my part of the country...
faaaaaaaaahk.
I was hoping that because this was an acoustic set with guitars, bongos and banjo, I might be able to get away with something, but all the filters I'm trying take away way the hell too much. Hrmph. :P

Ah well...live and learn. Got a pair of Shure A81WS's on the way. If anyone's looking for a new cheap pair, brookmays.com has 'em for $26.80 apiece (shipping is $8, but still, these go for $71 a pair new)...

Happy to. Here's the direct link:

I haven't gotten mine yet (just ordered 'em last night) so I can't speak to customer service or whether their 5-7 day shipping is accurate, but the price is right...
